Embark on an unforgettable journey as I cycle across Uruguay’s stunning landscapes, starting from the small border town of Chuí in Brazil, passing through iconic destinations like Punta del Diablo and Montevideo, and finishing in the vibrant streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This was not just a cycling trip—it was a milestone in my journey as a bikepacker. Spanning 30 days, this adventure marked my first international bikepacking experience and my longest trip to date. Before this, my longest ride had been a two-week round trip from Criciúma to Florianópolis in southern Brazil.
The route offered diverse challenges and rewards, from wind-swept coastal roads to tranquil farmland and lively cities. Each stage brought unique discoveries, breathtaking scenery, and opportunities to connect with the rich cultures of Uruguay and Argentina.
For the final leg, I crossed the iconic Río de la Plata on the Buquebus ferry from Montevideo to Buenos Aires, skipping Colonia del Sacramento to fully explore Argentina’s capital and the scenic Tigre Delta.
This adventure will be shared in stages, with new entries added gradually. Stay tuned as the full journey unfolds soon!
